In 1986 I'd heard about a young man in Washington that lost his life in a car crash one night while out with his girlfriend. He was drinking and showing off after being out partying one evening. The tragic happened, unexpected as usual, and he didn't make it. His girlfriend lived to tell. Choices are critical in our lives, no matter what age we are. Proverbs 1:31-32 "And they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires. For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them."

Billy Waited
Living hard, living fast Billy always wanted more
Pushing every moment with the pedal to the floor
Someone tried to tell him that there's a better way
But every time he heard the truth his pride kept him away
chorus Billy waited too long
His soul never did see the dawn
Billy waited too long
Now all his chances are gone
Every man has a wall that's built with many lies
Some succeed and tear it down, some don't even try
Billy never touched his wall or the God he should have known
Ignoring the words "a man will reap the seeds he's sown"
chorus
Driving on a dusty road Billy's heart was beating fast
He finished one more drink but didn't know it'd be his last
He didn't see the dead end sign or the future it foretold
Desperate words, "Oh my God!" just vanished in the cold
