As I sat in the studio with my good friend Steve Mills, an idea came to us about approaching the sensitive
issue of abortion from a unique and powerful angle- describing the lives of children who may have lived. Thus we prayerfully
set out to treat this delicate matter with the utmost care and allow the Lord to give us the right words to say. Later
that summer while doing countless concerts, literally dozens and dozens of young women and men were so moved by the song,
that major decisions to choose life were made. The Chance To See has brought us more feedback in letters than any other
song, and true accounts of children saved because of God using this song in the lives of young people. Psalm 139:13 "For You
formed my inward parts, you knit me together in my mother's womb".

Chance To See
Maybe today could have brought in some way
New joy to the life of one girl
Sarah might have had time for a hillside to climb
Or paraded as queen of her world
How carelessly choices are made
The chance of a lifetime is unjustly weighed
As the voice of convenience
Drowns out the first cries of a child
chorus I wonder how tall she would stand?
I wonder just where she would play with her friends?
I wonder what color her eyes would be?
The eyes that were never allowed the chance to see
Adventure's ahead, Kevin jumps out of bed
A day in the life of a boy
Playing hide-and-go-seek, riding bikes down the street
All the pleasures he'll never enjoy
How carelessly choices are made
The chance of a lifetime is unjustly weighed
As the voice of convenience
Drowns out the first cries of a child
chorus
Why can't we see how great the lies that we believe
We're trading our convictions for painful scars that never leave
