A cranking rock-anthem from 1993 that really brought the house down for 12,000 students at Hume Lake
Christian Camps as their theme for that summer. It was also used as the signature song for a teen radio talk show out of
Los Angeles also called Rock the World, hosted by Jerry Huson of Biola University. The message is straightforward: the
Great Commission Jesus gave us in Matthew 28:19-20, set to arena anthem rock (a la Def Leperd).
Written and recorded by Joel Weldon and Steve Mills in spring of '93 at Coyote Run Studios near
Spokane, WA.
Credits: Joel Weldon - Guitars, bass; Steve Mills - Background vocals, percussion
programming; Timothy Jones - Drums; Craig Bidondo - Keyboards; Steve Hanson - Background vocals

Rock The World
C'mon rock the world!
Gonna rattle the windows and shake the walls
One step short of a wrecking ball
Inside, outside, upside down
Gonna turn this crazy world around
We're the ones who hold the lifeline
But we're running out of time
chorus
Ohh , can't afford to waste one minute
Ohh, got to put our faith to work
Ohh, with the power of the heavens we're gonna
Rock it! Rock it! C'mon rock the world!
Rock the world with a holy sound
It's a sinking ship that's going down
Shout the word, got to let them know
Got to pull them in to the safety zone
We're the ones who hold the lifeline
But we're running out of time
chorus
One, two what do we do
Shout it out 'til our face turns blue
Three, four open that door
Can't deny them anymore
Five, six, no politics, no prejudice, no sneaky tricks
Seven, eight, nine, ten,
Give your life to live again, yea
