This song, written by my friend Rob Bryceson, took hold of me the first time he played it for me.
It makes me think of Heaven and the fact that I shouldn't live too comfortably at home on earth. There is an eternal
future that awaits everyone, and for those that know the Lord of Creation, Jesus the Christ, the future is eternal
paradise with Him! Let's live like there's no tomorrow and be the "strangest" we can be. Thanks for a great song,
Rob.
First released on a quick song collection at Hume Lake Camp and finally a studio recording was made for
the release of Wisdom Street (1990). Recorded at Coyote Run near Spokane, WA in spring of 1990.

Strangers
chorus We are strangers in this land
And our home lies far away
When we get there He'll take our hand
And say "welcome home child, you're here to stay"
Well the Prince of Darkness he rules this world
But we all choose to serve the King of Light
And we are only passing through
To the promised land beyond the blue
Where we shall receive eternal life
chorus
We are children of the Light
Who've been away from home all our lives
Yet there is still a work to do
The harvest ripe the workers few
Together we will reach the other side
